Wrap Contractor Insurance (OCIP/CCIP) — Compliance & Fast Certificates
Whether you’re an Owner/Developer, General Contractor, or Subcontractor, we help you navigate wrap-up programs in California: enrollment, certificates, payroll reporting, and outside-the-wrap coverage you still need. We issue same‑day COIs with contract wording.
OCIP vs CCIP
Owner‑Controlled vs Contractor‑Controlled wrap programs—what’s covered, who sponsors, and how subs enroll.
GL & Excess (Wrap)
Project‑specific liability and excess limits—often replacing sub GL at the site.
Workers’ Comp (CIP)
Statutory WC provided by the wrap for on‑site work (confirm program manual).
Certificates & Endorsements
COIs, AI/Primary wording, Waiver, SIR/deductible notices—issued fast per manual.
Outside‑the‑Wrap Needs
Auto, Tools/Inland Marine, Pollution, Professional, Off‑site GL—no gaps.
Payroll & Reporting
Enroll, track, and report exposure by trade/class; support audits smoothly.
Sub Compliance
We help subs meet bid instructions, exclusions, and documentation rules.
How Wrap‑Ups Work (OCIP/CCIP)
- Sponsor: The owner (OCIP) or GC (CCIP) purchases project‑specific GL/Excess and often Workers’ Comp for enrolled trades.
- Enrollment: Subs complete forms (company info, scope, payroll, EMR, loss runs). The admin issues confirmation and site‑specific COIs.
- Bid Credits: Subs remove the cost of GL/WC included in the wrap from bids per the manual.
- Reporting: Payroll/hours/units reported monthly/quarterly by trade. Final audits reconcile exposure.
- SIR/Deductibles: Programs may include shared deductibles or safety requirements—know your obligations.
Tip: Always read the Wrap Manual. We’ll align certificates, endorsements, and reporting exactly to the program language.

Wrap Contractor Insurance — FAQs
What’s the difference between OCIP and CCIP?
OCIP is sponsored by the project owner/developer; CCIP is sponsored by the GC. Both consolidate GL/Excess (and sometimes WC) into one program for enrolled trades.
Do I still need my own insurance?
Yes—wraps usually don’t cover Auto, Tools/Equipment, Off‑site work, Pollution, or Professional Liability. We’ll place those to avoid gaps.
How do bid credits work?
Subs remove the cost of GL/WC included in the wrap from their bid per the manual. We’ll help calculate and document it.
Can you match our certificate wording and turnaround times?
Yes—send the manual’s COI sample and any SIR/deductible notices. We issue fast COIs matched to the program language.
